Dr. Craig M. Misch received his dental degree from the University of Michigan in 1985 graduating Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After three years of general practice in Detroit, Michigan he attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine where he received his specialty certificate in Prosthodontics. Prosthodontics is the specialty of restoring teeth and/or replacing missing teeth with artificial substitutes, such as implants. Dr. Misch then completed a fellowship in oral implantology at the University of Pittsburgh and in 1992 was awarded a Master of Dental Science degree for his research on dental implants. He then completed specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Pittsburgh and moved his private practice to Florida. Dr. Misch is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is the only doctor in the country to hold this unique combination of degrees and specialty certification.

Dr. Misch is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Implant Dentistry at New York University. He is past Co-Director of the University of Pittsburgh Oral Implantology Center and presently Clinical Assistant Professor in the Postgraduate Division of Periodontics. He teaches with his brother, Dr. Carl E Misch at the Misch Implant Institute, an international center for educating practicing dentists in implant dentistry.

Dr. Misch has been practicing and teaching implant dentistry for over twenty years. He is an advisor to many implant manufactures and an honored member of numerous dental organizations including Fellow of the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Oral Implantology and a member of the editorial board of Implant Dentistry. Dr. Misch has published numerous articles and several textbook chapters on bone grafting, dental implants and prosthodontics. He has been a featured guest speaker at the Academy of Osseointegration, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and numerous other international, national, state and local meetings. He teaches and lectures extensively throughout the United States and Canada, Central and South America, as well as Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Dr. Misch is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New York, California and Florida. In 1999 he moved from Pennsylvania and opened his specialty practice in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Prosthodontics in Sarasota, Florida. His state of the art office is conveniently located next to Doctor's Hospital of Sarasota off of interstate I-75. He also has practice affiliations with Dr. Tarnow in New York, NY and the Dawson Center in St. Petersburg, FL.
